The 6 Archetypes in Human Design
The six archetypes in human design PHS:
1 Hunter
2 Gatherer
3 Transformer
4 Determiner
5 Listener
6 Watcher
Can we apply these also to the lines and tones in addition to the colors?
The 1 hunts to feed its appetite for understanding and investigates for security, forming a basis and foundation. It is a primitive survivalist archetype that hunts to satisfy basic needs. Retreats into and finds security in the cave.
The 2 gathers from the market its selections from within a very tight and secure boundary. The natural hermit gathers bits from outside its cave to refine its taste and is open to few new things outside of repetition.
The 3 transforms material. It has a thirst for mixing with life and through the process of trial and error it changes materiality. It is the martyr that tests and learns, and through this experience and involvement transforms objects and ideas from one shape to another in the hearth or kitchen.
The 4 determines and controls by touching their close surroundings and network. In manipulating its environment, opportunities arise for externalization that can be seen from a vantage point on the mountain.
The 5 listens for the projection in order to seduce for the sake of universalizing its heresy. It communicates through far reaching sound waves while listening for information and movement in the valley.
The 6 watches, and as all true six lines know, they are always watching in the light and that is all they are doing. This is the ultimate observer and role model overlooking the horizon from the shore without a bias and agenda.
We can see here that these archetypes, although they refer to the color in PHS as the method in which we interact with the world and our food, can easily be applied to the environment color, the motivation color and perspective color.
They can also be found in the line in our profiles, as well as in our tones. If we apply these archetypes to any of the six numbers in any of the configurations tone-color-line, we will see they hold true and we will gain more insight into our mechanics.
We are all combinations of these six archetypes and when we put together our colors from every variable and our lines from our profile, we get a very unique combination of archetypes that form uniqueness before we even get to any gate, channel or center definition.
